Sinopsis:

The project will complete the existing commercial building with a larger number of commercial premises, a larger restaurant and leisure area and a cinema. This extension will be built on top of a large part of the outdoor car park, so it will be necessary to recover these spaces. For this reason, there are plans to build two underground parking levels.

Architecturally, the intention is to link this extension by creating a new Shopping Centre parallel to the existing one in such a way as to create a route in a "0" shape or a stretched ring shape. The existing entrances are demolished to give continuity to the two corridors leading to them. These two corridors are extended to the new Shopping Centre.

Specifically, the project, located in Playa de Palma, has a rentable space of 70,000 square metres and its facilities include 12 cinema screens operated by Cinesa, an Alcampo hypermarket, eight Inditex brands (Zara and Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull&Bear, among others), and it also featured Mango and Violeta. It also has a 200,000 m2 green area.

The architectural author of the centre, Ignacio Vicens, explained that it was natural Mallorca --undulating lines of sea and sand-- and the "shapes and colours" of the painter and sculptor, Joan Miró, which inspired its design, which aimed to be "an iconic space for people to remember", "to be instilled in the collective memory of the people of Palma".
