KREAN has carried out projects and works management for mini-hydroelectric power plants (power plants of less than 10 MW). As an example, the Mintxate mini-hydroelectric power station and the San Andrés mini-hydroelectric power station are presented.

The first, Mintxate, is located at the junction between the river Ustarroz and the river Mintxate (Mintxate ravine) 2 km from Isaba and has a flow rate of 1 m3/s and a gross head of 44 m to give a power output of 383 kW.

The second, the Molino de San Andrés, is located at the confluence of the Arga and Ulzama rivers, in the municipality of Villava. It is a space for cultural dissemination activities, built to grind flour and which until 1985 was used as a hydraulic power station. Between 2009 and 2011, rehabilitation work was carried out to return to turbine water, taking advantage of a flow of 1.8 m3/s and a gross head of 3.6 m, giving a power of 60 kW.
