Synopsis:

Within the framework of the Ekiola public-private partnership initiative, which aims to enable citizens to participate as active agents in the energy market through the construction of photovoltaic plants set up in their municipalities, the first plants have been built in Azpeitia, Arraia-Maeztu and Arrasate.

The generation plants occupy a surface area of between 12 and 15 hectares, with the nominal power of each plant being 1 MWn. The plants are equipped with 250 kWn nominal power inverters and 500/505 Wp modules, installed on fixed structures with 2V or 3V type table configurations. The tables are driven into the ground in order to minimise earth movement and thus minimise environmental impact on the land. The installation is completed with a transformation centre equipped with medium voltage cells and the transformer responsible for raising the voltage to the corresponding distribution network into which the electrical energy produced is injected.

The expected electricity production for this type of plant is between 1,400 and 1,900 MWh/year, depending on the climatic conditions of the location.

The investment for the execution of the three plants exceeds 3.6 million euros.
