The design of the building aims to create a high quality space designed for relaxation and enjoyment in contact with nature and gastronomic culture, respecting the highest energy saving requirements. The Hotel is a 4-star hotel, in accordance with the Basque Government's regulations on tourist accommodation. It has a total of 73 rooms, 10% of which have a sitting room (7 rooms) and two of which are wheelchair-accessible.
The spaces dedicated exclusively to the Hotel are located on a group of 4 floors, 3 of them above ground and one below ground, plus the roof. The three floors above ground level contain the rooms. The access is on the ground floor, where the reception is located. The semi-basement contains the restaurant and cafeteria, both with their own access from the street and with large outdoor terraces facing the park. Lastly, on the roof there is a terrace-solarium with a swimming pool. The student residence is dedicated to accommodating students of the Basque Culinary Center and it could function as tourist accommodation in the summer months, when the students are not staying there. It has a total of 73 rooms, 2 of which are wheelchair-accessible. 28 rooms can be grouped two by two.
The residence is arranged in a three-storey block, all of which are above ground level and which contain the rooms. The entrance is on the ground floor, where the reception is located.
In addition, the common areas for the exclusive use of the residence (living rooms, study, workshop, gymnasium and laundry) are located on the first floor, with an open façade facing the park, where there is a large terrace. The hotel also has a gymnasium and a wellness area on the first floor, facing the park. It has its own independent access. Conceived, developed and executed in accordance with Passivhaus standards, currently in certification phase.
