The GARBERA shopping centre extension, designed and managed by KREAN, is a finalist in the Mapic Awards 2023 in the "Best Refurbishment and Redevelopment Project" category.

Created in 1996, the MAPIC International Awards are presented every year in Cannes. In this year's competition, under the theme "The era of sustainable growth", the MAPIC Awards aim to reward projects and brands that prioritise communities and the environment.

This edition has thirteen categories, five of which are new, with the aim of highlighting the most outstanding international development concepts and projects.

The category in which GARBERA has been selected, "Best Refurbishment & Redevelopment Project", rewards the most successful refurbishment and redevelopment project of a shopping centre, retail park, outlet centre or any other commercial site, based on: the improvement and enhancement of an existing building or centre, the transformation for new uses and the achievement of a new economic valorisation of the complex.
