CAF is one of the world's leading historical manufacturers of rolling stock, transport systems and traction and mobility equipment, having become in recent years a global group capable of supplying complete transport projects.

The CAF Group continually adapts its plant to its production needs, and for the expansion and modernisation of its installations in France, it entrusted LKS with the design and construction of the new factory, test hall, administrative building and urban development on land belonging to its subsidiary company CFD (Construccions Ferroviaires de Bagneres), in Bagneres de Bigorre.

The project consisted of the demolition of a series of buildings dating from the beginning of the last century that had become unsuitable for today's production needs, and from there, the construction of a warehouse with a bathtub-type pit including the installation of two tracks, each of which allows for different widths.

The complex also included a self-contained administration module, with offices on the first floor, and changing rooms and toilets for the workshop on the ground floor.

The development was completed with large manoeuvring and parking areas for long lorries.
