Remodelling of Anoeta Stadium for the Donostia-San Sebastián City Council

Synopsis:

A strong and recurring public demand from the Real Sociedad de Fútbol season ticket holders led to the reform and extension project that involved removing the athletics tracks in order to improve visibility, bring the spectator closer to the pitch and increase the general capacity of the venue. The project took advantage of the opportunity to create a new exterior image, creating a symbolic design for the surrounding area. The various municipal spaces located inside the building have been adapted and organised, including: the cultural centre, the youth and children's areas, the facilities of the Guipúzcoa football federation, etc. All of this with a planning and organisation of the works that allowed a compatibility between following the rhythm of the competition without displacing the fans while ensuring that the works were correctly carried out.
