KREAN has carried out the basic and execution project and is managing the site management and the WELL and BREEAM environmental certifications of the refurbishment works of the LK3 building of Laboral Kutxa in Arrasate-Mondragón.

This is a comprehensive energy rehabilitation, acting mainly on its envelopes, both in the replacement of the carpentry for better performance, and in the façade solution, opting to maintain the initial project solution, improving its thermal characteristics and recovering its original image. Similarly, the roof envelope is being renovated, increasing its thermal insulation and thus the inertia of the building as a whole, in line with current legislative guidelines. On the other hand, the installations and energy sources are being replaced by others of renewable origin, as well as incorporating equipment with better performance and lower consumption. All of this with the clear objective of reducing energy consumption and committing to sustainable construction.

Likewise, taking advantage of this intervention, the organisation programme interior is adapted to current needs and introduces technologies and work formulas that are more appropriate to the current reality in which we find ourselves. In short, an innovative workplace that strengthens relations between workers, enhances the feeling of belonging and adapts to the increasingly flexible and changing world of work, creating a dynamic, attractive and functional working environment.
